Government Planning Department Makes Applications Available to End Users With Sun Microsystems ™, Inc.’s Servers and Web Enabled Technology
Gemini Facilities CORE Group and Sun Microsystems™, Inc. provided a key, business solution to a large, local government planning department by implementing web enabled access to their applications and electronic services by their 11,000 employees. The business challenge was met with Sun Microsystems™, Inc.’s Sun FireSM Enterprise class servers and Sun ONE™ technologies consisting of the Solaris™ Operating Environment and Sun Java™ System Application Server. The Sun Java System Application Server provides a Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE platform) 1.4 compatible platform for developing and delivering server side Java applications and Web services. Sun ONE™ is Sun Microsystems™, Inc.'s vision, architecture, platform and services designed to enable Web services.
